Yet at times we are so overwhelmed with problems in our lives that we somehow forget those words. We are so conflicted inside what we thought we knew and what we know seem to be somewhere in oblivion as the dark cloud of hopelessness looms over our heads; instead of under our feet.
In thinking of impossible situations, there are so many one could pick out of the scriptures. The Psalmist writes, “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, (Psalm 8:3-6)
Yet at times we are so overwhelmed with problems in our lives that we somehow forget those words. We are so conflicted inside what we thought we knew and what we know seem to be somewhere in oblivion as the dark clouds of hopelessness loom over our heads; instead of under our feet.
According to the 18th-century Scottish philosopher David Hume, a miracle is a “violation of the laws of nature.” The following prayer is very close to my heart as I have prayed it on many ocassions and seen the hand of God move.
The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13)
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
you will be done,
in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
You may be asking, what kind of miracle prayer is this? It is asking God’s will to be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread is asking for supernatural provision from God.
Contrary to popular belief there are no magic formulas to bring about the miraculous hand of God. Prayer is our way of communicating with God. He wants a relationship with us. As Hannah, prayed from her place of distress; do likewise sincerely from your heart in Jesus’ name. And always remember, it is not the quantity of a prayer so much as the quality of it. Prayer and faith can release the impossible.
If you need prayer let us know and we will pray. Blessings to you this coming week.
