There are times in our lives when we feel if one more thing happens… You begin to soliloquize the little Dutch boy’s epitaph. You plug up one hole in the dike and another one springs open, then you plug that one up and another and another…. Until you have run out of fingers, buckets and hope. You’ve had so many bad days you are starting to think all the good days have vanished into another dimension. The hand of overwhelmingness has you in its grasp. You  have wrestled tirelessly with this thing to the point you just want to scream to the top of your lungs praying God will hear your cries. Because you feel nobody else will nor does it seem they care.

Here is a prayer to help when you are in this place.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I ask for your help in recommitting my relationship and my faith.
I am asking your forgiveness for drifting, doubting and being so anxious about everything.
I took my focus off you and tried to do things on my own.
I realize that only through you can I truly be happy and content.
This is not any easy path to follow.
But with you in my life guiding and leading me I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Help me to be reminded of this every minute of every day.  In Jesus’ name amen.

Sometimes we cannot see our blessings because we are looking in the wrong direction. When under repeated attacks by the enemy, find opportunities to bring total order out of those chaotic battles. The kingdom of God is built by order and by this order, the worlds were framed. (Hebrews 11:13) To receive the maximum benefit from this; your life requires divine order. There is no other way. (Colossians 2:5)

A scripture to read that will also help is Psalm 31—The Lord a Fortress in Adversity.
