“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 NKJV)
Thought of the Week: The uniqueness of the Christian experience results from the union of Christ and the believer. This is expressed in Scripture as Christ being in the believer and the believer in Christ. Jesus used this image of the vine and its branches to describe His union with the believer. Therefore, when we crucify the old man and allow the new man to come forth, take into account all the facts concerning our identification with Christ and our separation from sin, neither yield to sin on our day-to-day confrontations, and obey from the heart the Word of God; we can conquer sin because Christ lives in us. (Galatians 2:20)
Prayer: Father, help my desires of the world to decrease so that you may increase in my life. That I may submit myself more to you which will help my resistance of the enemy and increase my desire to pray. For you said in your word we must watch and pray that we may not enter into temptation. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
May you have a blessed and prosperous week. Blessings and Peace.
