Hello! We welcome you to the month of May—We made it! Since April showers bring May flowers we can look around and see such natural beauty all around us. With Spring in full swing we can see everything and perhaps things we’ve never noticed before we now see in a different light. This should be a month with happy feelings in the air!

Being a month with 31 days… Would you believe the Month of May celebrates 143 Holidays! You couldn’t make all of those parties if you wanted to. So we’ll just name a few and leave a place for your mouse to click to see the entire list. The entire month is Creative Beginnings Month, Latino Books Month, National Family Month, National Photo Month, National Mental Health Month, National Military Appreciation Month, National Wild Fire Awareness Month, National Inventors Month, Asian Pacific Heritage Month and Young Achievers of Tomorrow Month.

For the sports aficionado, May 1st is Kentucky Derby Day. The dedicated bookworms will be delighted, that May 2nd is International Harry Potter Day. “May the Fourth be with us”, as we celebrate Star Wars Day. Let’s not forget Cinco De Mayo. And as Mother’s Day quickly approaches, get those cards and packages in the mail or those surprise plans completed. With all this celebrating, we must remember Peace Officers Memorial Day, for all the fallen and wounded officers in the line of duty. While we are grilling and chilling on Memorial Day, let it be a somber reminder of those who fought and gave their lives for our freedom.

A little May trivia: Did you know that in any given year, common or leap year, no month ever begins or ends on the same day of the week as does May?

May the Lord make you stronger than your fears and hold you in His mighty hands. May this be a month of greater love, miraculous healings, financial blessings and divine favor.

Happy New Month and best wishes to you all. Blessings and Peace!
