My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. … (Proverbs 3:1-5)

We as parents desire the best for our children. And that our sons find the right path and become greater than we were in every aspect of their lives.

Here is a prayer for our sons:

God. Give my son the will to come to you with his problems.
To think clearly and make good decisions.
To avoid temptation.
To be strong and brave when facing challenges.
To stay with it when he feels like giving up.
To be practical, yet dream big.
Be with him dear Lord, and keep him on the straight path of good behavior that leads to his success and satisfaction.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
