But in order to get anything from God you cannot settle for the ordinary. You must seek the extraordinary with faithful anticipation. This requires perseverance and a willingness to follow the Lord’s lead.
Are you lost in the shuffle? You know. That shuffle between walking in the flesh and walking in the spirit? This has everything to do with personal change and growth. Yet nothing to do with your intellect, ego or definition of entitlement. And in a gulf, somewhere between these two viewpoints; lies an undiscovered truth.
You see, the Whos in Whoville were not superficial at all. They realized the true meaning of Christmas; which apparently escaped the Grinch as well as many of us.
For the past week we have heard many memorable Christmas songs. But the one that has been a resounding constant, these past few days, is God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Although humming most of the song, the one line that stuck foremost in my mind was “Remember Christ our Savior was born on Christmas Day”
In the pain, you may have to cry and pray; then pray and cry some more to get your breakthrough. This victory not only hinges on the sincerity of your prayers—but your sincerity to forgive.
And please stop being a landfill for everybody’s problems. Hang out an “Out of Business—Leveling the Ground” sign. You can’t help anyone when you are damaged
We were all worth it in the Garden when he declared, “Not my will but yours be done.” The weight of the cross was beyond heavy with all of our sins—past, present and future. But because God loved us so much he bore that cross for us all.
When you love you forgive and when you forgive you are forgiven. Because the true love of God keeps no records of our wrongdoings.
