God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God. (Psalm 62:11 NKJV)
Thought for the Week: The psalmist’s sentiment is what God has declared, he has understood by the light of reason; which easily infers it from the nature of the infinitely perfect Jehovah, and from his works of creation and providence. When a thing is spoken twice it is with a sure definitive. God is the ultimate source of all power in which we should learn to completely trust. For there is no other power that can save us.
Prayer: Father, teach us the way we should go. Please give us the wisdom and understanding of your sovereignty. That we may learn to humble ourselves under your mighty hand; with all trust in you no matter the circumstances. Give us the strength and endurance to be able to praise and worship you beyond what we see or hear. In Jesus’ name, amen.
