There have been times when we have all fallen short. Made mistakes or done things we regret, and are having issues moving on. As believers, we must realize the importance of forgiving as well as being forgiven. In the same way we desire God’s forgiveness, so must we learn to forgive.

Heavenly Father,

I come to You with brokenness and humility to ask for forgiveness of my sins today. Father, Your word says if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just, and will forgive me and purify me from all unrighteousness. So today, I come to You with a broken spirit and contrite heart, and I confess my sins to You. I ask Lord for forgiveness of the sins that I have committed knowingly and unknowingly. I thank You Father, for the ultimate sacrifice of Your son. For His blood that washes me as white as snow. I thank You, for I recognize that His sacrifice was enough, and I don’t have to work for Your forgiveness. I ask Lord for the guidance of the Spirit moving forward. I pray that You will remove my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh that is sensitive to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I ask for His guidance and for His strength to help me resist any temptation that may come as a result of my desires. Thank You Father, for I believe that I am free from the guilt and shame of my sins. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
