But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NKJV)
Thought for the Week: How comforting it is for us, as believers, to be acquainted with the attributes of God’s faithfulness, which He will not allow to fail. He has promised many things, and He is faithful He who promised, and also will do them, nor will any good thing He has promised ever fail. This same God with His promises by grace of faith—will establish you in the Gospel by rooting you in the steadfastness of His word. Thereby, not allowing the believer to be moved, or depart from him; He promised them perseverance, and He is faithful to gift them with it. And the more He establishes us the more he removes us from Satan’s snares or evil works. It is noteworthy that although God does keep us from the enemy’s snares does not exempt us from our tasks of keeping ourselves. Hence the scripture: Keep thy heart with all diligence, Proverbs 4:23.
Prayer: Lord, please help me to experience your grace and mercy each day. And please remind me of your great love and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
