Sometimes we find ourselves in toxic environments and even toxic situations and relationships. And our desire is to keep our spirits from being tainted with this toxicity so we can clearly hear and see what God is saying to us. For it is written, “Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8 NKJV) It is vital for us to keep our lines of communication open when we pray. Therefore, our spirits need to be pure so that we can receive true revelation and instruction from God as we pray. May this prayer bless you in what you need.

God,
I desire purity of spirit, I desire humility. I want you to use me as a vessel of honor unto your name so that whatever I do, and whoever I speak with will see the Christ in me. Abba, this world is not easy, but you make my existence worth it. Heavenly Father, many times I find myself being cynical and unkind. Sometimes, I let the cares of this world harden my heart. Yet I know it shouldn’t be like this. My Lord, I pray that you give me a pure heart, as I am jaded by the hurts of this world. Father, please help me to keep my eyes on You and please help me to guard my heart. Help me to look at every trial as an experience and learn from it so that I may be a blessing to others by my testimony. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
