I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalm 138:2)

Why do you worship and praise the name of the LORD?

PSALM 138 IN ITS ENTIRETY

Thought for the Week: We are blessed to live in a nation where we can freely praise God with our whole heart, no matter who sees. In praising God we realize that Mercy and Truth are His two highest attributes as Jehovah God. (Exodus 34:6 NKJV) And those of us who faithfully depend on His loving-kindness and truth through His Son, will ever find him faithful to His word. For He so loved us that He gave His only Begotten Son that if we believed in Him, we would never perish, but have everlasting life. To magnify His word above all His name is a definitive that God’s promise, sustained by His mercy and truth, exceed all other manifestations of Himself as the subject of praise.

Prayer: Dear God, I thank You Father, for all Your wonderful promises and the great plans You have for me in my life. Thank You, Lord, for all the promises that have been fulfilled and the ones that are yet to come. Today, I am in Christ Jesus. I am born again, and blessed. You have set me free from sin, free from bondage, and free from temptation. I declare this today, in the name of your precious Son. Amen.
