We here in America are blessed to have the freedom of worship and the priviledge to enter any church we please. And I say “we are blessed” with all humility and thankfulness. Because there are churches around the world that are under great persecution today. Many are losing their lives because of their Christian faith. Christian persecution around the world is one of the biggest human rights issues of our time. We should take the time to not only think on them, but to also pray for them. For they do need much prayer and we must not forget they are part of the body of Christ.

Lord, we pray for those in the church who are facing persecution. Please give them strength and never let them forsake You. Protect them from all hurt, harm and danger. And please soften the hearts of their persecutors. Bring the Church’s persecutors to You the way You drew Paul. In that way You will be glorified and the people will see Your greatness magnified. In Jesus’ holy name we pray. Amen.
