“Whenever the world makes you cynical; whenever you seek true humility and true selflessness—look to a veteran.”— President Barack Obama

Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans, who are people who have served in the United States Armed Forces

Today is a day that we should not only have somber remembrances but also extend a heartfelt thank you to the men and women of this country who selflessly defend us for this democracy. And at the same time be mindful of all the fallen heroes who gave their lives as a payment for that freedom.

Let us not forget the families who are left behind to carry the weights and burdens of these sacrifices and losses. May we keep them ever-present in our thoughts and prayers. Remember this is also Military Family Month.

We should never take for granted the privileges afforded us because of the sacrifices so many men and women have made on our behalf. “Our nation’s veterans, are the embodiment of courage and selflessness and are deserving of not only our thanks but also our support.”

Greater love has no one than this than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13 NKJV) Many lives have been laid down for faceless friends in America and not only on this day, but every day we should be thankful and never forget.

Veterans of America this day we humbly salute you! God bless you and thank you so much!
