(When God Promised)

by: Glen Berteau

How do you get your miracle?

Many believers are in a quandary regarding this question and are fighting to still believe despite their many disappointments.

Glen Berteau explains there are significant differences between miracles and healings–as he eliminates all the bells and whistles and gets right to the root of the problem. He delves into this problem like a surgeon prepped for a spiritual operation; giving the reader a complete analysis of why it is imperative to know God’s word in order to fight through and endure the sufferings that all believers encounter—no matter how many scriptures they can quote. And how our choices and decisions affect the outcome of our destinies.

That is why it is imperative to not only know God’s word but know who He is as the final Word concerning all matters of man and realize Jesus is enough. He is trying to elevate the reader’s mindset to a higher spiritual level from the mundane existence in which many believers find themselves.

From the revelatory knowledge, he gained through a death experience, to be a living breathing testimony. He walks you through seventeen roadblocks that prevent many believers from not only receiving their healings but also from seeing their destinies fulfilled. The importance of prayer is woven throughout these 236 pages; as are some very powerful healing scriptures and declarations.

we need our perceptions to be discerned by the Holy Spirit.

Berteau externalizes how the truths we adhere to oftentimes depend upon our perceptions. And our perceptions are usually predicated on what we see and not our faith in God. In order to be more accurate, we need our perceptions to be discerned by the Holy Spirit. That is why it is important to not only know God’s word but know who He is — believing is just not enough. We have to know the power of God and His authority. In so doing, we recognize who we are, the power we have to move mountains and stop the devil in his tracks.

This book is for all those who have patiently stood in every prayer line and gone to every miracle crusade known to man. Who was filled with great expectations only to leave disgusted, unfulfilled, and discouraged. Whether a seasoned Christian or a newbie, his writings are awe-inspiring, very informative, and full of revelation. The word of God says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7) If you’ve run out of wisdom this just may be the answer you need.

Pastor Berteau is thoroughly convinced, “If we would stand up and be the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the people Jesus died for, then we could learn who we are in Christ, and who the real enemy is.” I concur.
