Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. (Philippians 4:5)

Thought for the Week: We are not meant to live a life of excess. While having wealth and material possessions seems to be a good thing. We must consider what is a good thing. It would be to commit these things to help those who are in need instead of accumulating things we know we won’t use. Giving is part of being a Christian and it is always best to give to those who are in need. Your life will then serve as an example to others on how to live in gentleness. And we must not be anxious because of impatience, seeing that God is at hand to give us help in time for all our miseries.

Prayer: Dear God, I pray that as I live my life as a Christian, as your child, may I never have selfishness as a priority in my life. Help me to be selfless in all my ways, O Lord, so I may be an example of you to your children. You set the standard first, O God, and I ask that You help me to walk by this standard. There is no way I can do it in my own actions or power. I thank You, Father, for this great faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
