Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish’s belly. And he said: “I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction,
And He answered me. “Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. (Jonah 2:1-2 NKJV)
Did the Lord answer your cry? Has He heard your voice?

I can relate to Jonah, for sure. Many times I’ve been afraid of new ventures, especially when I thought God wanted it and I felt I was not up to the task. Like Jonah, I wanted to run. 🙂

But Michele the one thing you must remember. God does not call the prepared—He prepares the called. No matter how far Jonah ran he could not get out of God’s reach. Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.(Isaiah 59:1) That’s why when Jonah ended up in the belly of that big fish he prayed and God heard his cry. (Jonah 2)
A lot of times we miss our blessings by trying to figure out how to do what God asked instead of just doing it. Remember what Mary said at the wedding feast? His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” (John 2:5) Niki wasn’t the first one to coin that phrase! Blessings and Peace!

There’s so much wisdom in your words, like, “He prepares the called!” and “We miss our blessings ” I think we over complicate stuff so often …

Exactly. And what we don’t realize is that when we are undecided time becomes a thief. We lose precious time when we could have been about our Father’s business. Have a blessed rest of your week!
