But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Are we giving all diligence pertaining to the precious promises of God? Or have we forgotten?

I love the way this starts with faith – accepting God’s grace/mercy/forgiveness – then responding with wanting to please Him (be like Him), then KNOWING HOW to please Him, then having the self control (strength) to actually DO it, then CONTINUING to do it, make it part of our character, treating EVERYONE like brothers, and reaching the highest virtue, LOVE ( as in “God is love.” 😊💕)
