The Bible has often been called the Book of Instruction Before Leaving Earth. And the reality of that truth has never been so prominent to me as it is today.

While many of us are fighting to remain Cling-ons. You know, clinging onto how to maintain this and how to maintain that. Clinging onto the old ways of this world while trying to grasp the new. We should be fighting to cling onto God and His Word. We must draw near unto Him like never before. It is written, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.” (James 4:8 NLT) It is time to walk closer to God and with God. If you have no relationship with Him now is the time to begin.

One day all of these things we’re fighting to Cling-on to will be left behind. The truth of the matter is the pandemic forced all of us to deal with what we had been too busy to address—ourselves. So now would be an opportune time to “Escape Your Limits.” In other words, take the limits off your life. Someone reading this right now is saying has she lost her mind? We were in a worldwide pandemic and many of us could barely escape the environments we were in because of sanctions or face masks. What does it mean to escape your limits?

I am not talking about escaping your unhappy reality by going to a job, country club, gym, bar, mall, or your tweeter-dees and tweeter-dums. I am talking about escaping your environmental mindsets. Looking outside of where you are to see where God is really taking you, and what He is doing in your life. For n.o.w.—‘ no other way’ will you find the w.a.y.—‘ working a yes’ — but in Him. For us that inarguably believe, the scriptures teach us that we are in this world but not of this world. (John 17:16)

So the question now becomes “How do you escape your limits?”

  1. Your mind must be stripped of the negative thought processes that have built a force field of limitations around you. This cannot be done by personal power. But can only be done by the power of God. “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:5)
  2. Recognize when there is a major change in human events there is also a shift in the Spirit realm. Therefore, you must shift to a higher level of righteousness and compassion through prayer and fasting. Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them. (Hosea 14:9)
  3. You must rise above all of the confusion and hearsay. Let go of the worration and fret. Through the eyes of faith, rise above these things and rest in God. Trust Him to lead you out no matter how it looks or feels. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret—it only causes harm. (Psalm 37:7-8)

As you allow these seeds to cultivate in your spirit you will find heaviness falling off and the weighty things that deceived you in believing they mattered—never really mattered at all! Now you can begin wearing the world as a loose garment. The word is taking root in your life! You will walk away with a new vision and freedom you never knew existed. Because you chose to place your life in the hands of the Almighty instead of men. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye..But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.” (Psalm 32:8-10)

May the Blessings of the LORD be with you today and always. Thank you for your continued readership and support. Until next week….Blessings and Peace!
