Ephesians 5:15-16 teaches us: See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. The word ‘circumspectly’ is derived from an Old English term that means “with awareness of one’s surroundings.” Indicating to walk wisely, prudently, and with due regard for the dangers all around. We hope this prayer will aid you in your walk with God.

Teach us, Lord, to walk in the light of Your Word and with due regard to our circumstances. Circumstances are not an excuse to compromise your truths, we know, but they will affect how we apply those truths in specific instances. Give us the wisdom to see what you would have us to do in each situation and the courage to do it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
