There will be two in the field
—one taken
And that’s the trip
one brother would be making.

To the naked eye
all looked good and well.
Yet that’s not the ending
his story would tell…

In the car, he went
to pick up his granddaughter
But that’s not the unforeseen trip
God had ordered…

So there in traffic
he was taken away
To all eternity
where he would stay…

Going on to meet other family members
who were already there
Where God would greet him
with open arms of loving care.

A God who knows
what is best for us
in Whom we must always place
our faith and trust

For we know not when
the Son of man will appear
That’s why we must live righteously
each day of the year.
