To do and say
what’s right today
Does not seem apropos.

Even when pertaining to
God’s word
That saves our very souls

Offenses come from
everywhere
In any form and fashion

Which some deem
authoritative to give
Their many tongues a lashing

But no matter
how you slice the pie
Say whatever you will

He is a God of holiness
and righteousness
Even still.
