At times it is so easy for us to allow our own wants and needs to consume our prayer times. But as Christians, we must remember that we are an interconnected global community that God has called to intercede on behalf of others. Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (I Timothy 2:1-2)

Father, I thank You for faithfully supplying all of my needs. Help me to turn my heart to others that are near and far away. For You equally love us all. I pray for Your peace over war-torn nations, Your provisions over those in need, Your perseverance over the persecuted, and Your comfort over those who grieve. In Jesus’ name, amen.
