Seems the older I get the faster time flies. It was as if it were just yesterday we ushered in the New Year now here it is June 1st already. And in celebration of this day let us not miss out on International Childrens Day. Which is celebrated around the world for much greater causes— ending child abuse, ending the deprivation of children of their rights, and the fight in creating more efforts to improve the lives of children internationally.
Although vacationers are flocking down here to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, Legoland Florida Resort, the infamous Clearwater Beach, and of course, the sunshine. So far all we’ve been seeing is a lot of rain and winds blowing. Hopefully, those rainy days will blow over and the sunshine the state of Florida is so famous for will peep through those dark clouds again.
Did you know June’s calendar has 169 June holidays? You can’t RSVP them all so you are going to have to pick your battles. Let’s always remember the Day of Pentecost known as Holy Spirit Monday, June 5th. Finally, all you procrastinators, don’t wait until the last minute to do your Father’s Day shopping. So mark your calendars you busy June bugs!
A little June Trivia. Did you know that June is the month with the longest daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and has the shortest daylight hours of the year in the Southern Hemisphere?

I think time flies because each new day is a smaller fraction of all of your days. A newborn’s first day is 100% of his span so far. The new septuagenarian’s birthday is a mere 0.0039% of his existence on earth.
