Sometimes we find ourselves just totally depleted mentally, physically, and psychologically. Life periodically places us in the frazzles. Different issues from marriage to money feel like weights on our shoulders. Time marches on and it looks like we are just marking time—where we are and where we planned to be is beginning to look like a distant memory and the world is moving so fast we can barely keep up with ourselves. That’s when we need to rest in God. Here Jesus has His arms wide open: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV)
Dear Lord,
We come before Your throne of grace today to ask for healing. Lord, You know each and every one of us and You know exactly what we’ve been through. Your word says that You will meet our need and restore us. Lord, please restore our bodies, our minds, and our hearts. Fill every empty space inside us with Your love and hope. From broken bones to broken hearts—please heal us, Lord. We ask this in Your precious name Lord Jesus, amen.
