As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.” “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.” (I Samuel 1:12-17 NIV)
We understand that. Thanx. But that was not what this thought was suggesting. That’s why the scripture is there to explain it. But thank you for the comment. Be and stay blessed!
Yes, I understood that, also, especially the part about “something” forcing us not to pray. The enemy of God’s grace always struggles against us, but “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world! 🙂
Prayer is never an “accident” or incorrect. “A little child cannot do a bad coloring nor can a child of God do a bad prayer.” (Brennan Manning)
