How can you bake a cake when all the ingredients are not there?
How can you paint a portrait when the subject is but a stare?
How can you write the next great book
When into your soul you’re afraid to look?
How can you sing a beautiful song
When everything in life appears so wrong?
How can you dream once again
When it looks as though there’s nothing left to win?
Where does one go
To recapture the very essence of the soul?
You’ve prayed and pleaded for God to see you thru
And He opens a door to life anew
That you could hardly even see
Not knowing the best was still yet to be.
