O God, You know my foolishness;
And my sins are not hidden from You.
Let not those who wait for You, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed because of me;
Let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel. (Psalm 69:5-6 NKJV)
PSALM 69 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
Thought For The Week: Our sins have consequences. Even if we confess them and are forgiven, we may still feel the repercussions of those sins. Ask the Lord to help with our shame. Like Jonah, when we sin, we also hurt those around us. We need to be aware tht sin often has a rippling effect that could cause ofthers disgrace or even worse. When Christians sin, nonbelievers questions our faith. Do not let this happen to you. Walk in the light of God’s love for we cannot hide our sins from Him.
Prayer: Father, please forgive me for my sins! I repent and ask that You help me to handle the consequences of those sins with wisdom. Please do not let my sins cause others shame or lead them away from You. Lord, God I am very sorry. I know You are merciful and will forgive me, but neither allow me to be controlled by feelings of guilt. Allow me to move forward to repentance. In Jesus’ name, amen.
