Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,

Thought For The Week: The path to righteousness is narrow and straight. There are no shortcuts, detours, or exceptions to the rule. We must repent of our sinful ways and leave them behind if we are to follow Christ. There is simply no other way to salvation. Because of Christ’s death on the cross our sinful natures will not overwhelm us because His sacrifice on the cross has cleansed our wretched souls. When we truly forsake our old sinful ways the Holy Spirit is there to walk with us and guide us on that narrow and straight path.

Prayer: Father, please forgive us for our sinful nature. We choose to abandon our ways for Your way which is right and true. With Your help, we will keep Christ ever before us leaving our old ways behind. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
