Have you ever been in the place of “I don’t know”? From a simplistic aspect sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don’t. You can’t find yourself in the madness. You can’t find your balance or your footing. You feel like you’re about to be overtaken by a great sea of trouble and there is no life preserver anywhere in sight. As the Psalmist wrote, Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, Where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes fail while I wait for my God. (Psalm 69:1-3 NKJV) May this prayer bless you…
Father, help me not to fear the future but to boldly trust that You are in control when my emotions plunge me down, and when I am in despair. At times when I can’t talk and don’t know what to say, help me to “Be still, and know that you are God”. Please be my comforter, my healer, and bring me peace. God of all comfort, our very present help in trouble, be near to me. Look on me with the eyes of Your mercy; comfort me with a sense of Your presence; preserve me from the enemy; and give me patience in my affliction. Restore me to health, and lead me to your eternal glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
