From the window, I can see
A redheaded bird atop a tree
Looking in every direction
Now perfectly still for his collection
Of secret thoughts amidst blowing leaves
Resting in a peace he alone conceives
A statuesque figure neatly hidden away
As the tree branches continue to sway
Perhaps we can learn from our feathered friend
How to soar above life’s troublesome winds
And sit firmly in faith on God’s word
Never abandoning His truth, but using all that we’ve heard.
