And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger:I am the Lord your God. (Leviticus 19:10 KJV)
LEVITICUS 19 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
Thought for the Week: God teaches us to be gracious by asking that we share our blessings with those in need—not just Thanksgiving and Christmas. God gives us more than enough so that we may provide for those unable to provide for those who are unable to provide for themselves physically and spiritually. We help others spiritually by being there for troubled times or encouraging them to reach new milestones so they may go on to do good works in the name of our Lord.
Prayer: Dear God, we are thankful for each new day. Teach us to make time for others when they need a friend. Please give us the desire to remain alert for opportunities to help others as they experience troubling seasons. We pray that you would nurture our generosity for Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
