Sitting here in Bible Study
enthralled by the Word

Received a new revelation…
One I’d never heard

Knew about the precious promises of God
But never walking in them found very odd

The instructions are written for all to see
Yet we’re not walking in the fullness

How can this be?

Perhaps as the teacher said
We’ve become much too content

To stay where we are
And not going where we’re sent…

Studying to show ourselves approved
Is the true intent

To get the full understanding
of what the scriptures meant

Instead, we perish from a lack
of knowledge so I’ve heard

Do we really understand the mysteries
of God’s Holy word?
