We must learn to love our Christian brothers and sisters of the faith. Remember what Jesus said? And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part. (Mark 9:37-40 KJV)
The Psalmist then writes, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” (Psalm 133:1-3 KJV)
With the condition of the world today the body of Christ needs to be more unified than ever. And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (Mark 3:24-25 KJV) We as the body of Christ cannot take a stand unless we ALL stand together…
Lord, thank You for giving the gift of the Holy Spirit not only to me but to all who have received You in faith. Lord, I pray that You would prosper the good work that You do through all of Your believers, not just the ones I sit next to on Sunday, but those with whom we are culturally or denominationally different. Use each of us where You have placed us so that we may reach the people You have called us to reach. In Jesus’ name, amen.
