Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” (John 21:22 NKJV)
JOHN 21 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
Thought For The Week: Sometimes we wonder why other people have an easier time than we do. “Why me?” we lament. But do we ask “why me?” when we are given an easier load than our neighbor? Be truthful—we usually don’t. We must be mindfu; that God calls us each to our specific purpose, and we serve Him best when we focus on His will and plan for us instead of doing a comparative analysis of our circumstance to our neighbors.
Prayer: Father, thank You for calling and equpping me to serve You and Your kingdom. I don’t understand why You’ve chosen me for the life You have given me, but I pray that You empower me to faithfully serve where You have placed me. Please protect my heart from being envious of those whose path seems easier, and let me not lose compassion for thos whose struggle is greater. In Jesus’ name, amen.
