Lord, strengthen me today,
make me in You strong…
for, in this changing world
I don’t feel I still belong.
But, I believe You have,
for me a battle plan . . .
to win the faithful fight
that I know is at hand.
Lord, fortify me today,
make me bold and courageous
for, everything now seems
so perilously outrageous.
But, I know that You want,
for me to draw on Your might
so against the evil rulers
their authority I can fight.
Lord, make me strong today,
strengthen and fortify me
for, in this world, I will need…
a supernatural bravery!

Finally, my brethren,
be strong in the Lord,
and in the power of his might.
For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places.
