Thought for the Week: Sometimes we needlessly complicate our faith which can quickly place us on the wrong path. Everyday fad teachings and new doctrines seem to emerge daily, but we already have the word of God and we already have the Lord’s Supper. We have no need to reinvent our faith with irrelevant rituals that only lead to polluted doctrine. Rather, let us remain steadfast to the simple gatherings and foundational truth that we’ve already been given.

Prayer: Father, thank You for revealing Yourself to me in Your word, and thank You for the simple communion that I share with fellow believers. Please work in these things to build us up, so that we may be satisfied in You. Give me the wisdom to discern unsound doctrine, so that I may remain steadfast in Your truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
