“God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile.” – Max Lucado
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:10-12 NKJV)
Jesus warned us we would have trouble in this world. (John 6:33)
As Peter wrote, “Don’t be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening.” (I Peter 4:12) We’ve been pretty spoiled in America for many decades. When persecution comes, I hope we’re ready.

Amen! Asking and receiving what we need to serve the Lord is one thing, but prosperity preaching for prosperity’s sake leads to idolatry, IMO. (Matthew 6:24)
