Part I
This is a repost from four years ago. As I began reading — it struck a chord in my spirit which gave me an urgency to once again share… I’ve been debating on what to write for the last couple of weeks as there have been so many of life’s issues with which my husband and I are battling. Yet my spirit quickened as I was turning the page to a new book I’m reading entitled The Prayerful Spirit by Dr. James P. Gills. In Chapter One heading under What is Prayer? There was a scripture in the subtitle that read “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Which is so profound. Consequently, every month in 2019, this was the backdrop scripture in my life. I have quoted it more times than I can remember. And in 2020 God kept giving it to me and confirming it through others’ conversations, prophecies, or in a book I’ve written. I even have a checkbook cover with that scripture on it. It is as if God is keeping this scripture before my face like a stop sign in traffic. But why?
The LORD Almighty is with us…

The entire scripture reads, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10 NKJV) Which is enveloped in a much larger scripture that exemplifies the power and security the writer has in God: “God is our refuge and strength, very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. (Psalm 46:1-9 NKJV) He then says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’ The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah” (Psalm 46:7 NKJV)
Thank you all so much for your continued readership and support. Stay tuned for Part 2 next week…Blessings and Peace!
