I called on Your name, O Lord, From the lowest pit. You have heard my voice: “Do not hide Your ear From my sighing, from my cry for help.” You drew near on the day I called on You, And said, “Do not fear!” (Lamentations 3:55-57 NKJV)
LAMENTATIONS 3 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
Thought For The Week: Have you ever felt like you were trapped in a deep dark dungeon; desperately needing someone to come to your rescue? In those moments when we cry out for help hoping someone—anyone would hear our pleas and come to our aid. But what happens when it feels like our cries are falling on deaf ears?
When we cry out to God, He doesn’t turn a deaf ear to our pleas. He draws near to us in our time of need! He reassures us with the words, “Fear not.” We can find comfort and hope in knowing that God is with us, even in our darkest moments.
Today if you find yourself in a low dungeon of despair, remember that God hears your cry. He is drawing near to you, ready to bring you comfort and peace. Don’t be afraid, for He is with you. Trust in His faithfulness and hold on to the hope that He brings.
Prayer: Gracious God, thank You for always hearing my cry. In those moments of despair and darkness. I know that You are near. Help me to trust in Your faithfulness and find comfort in your presence. Give me the courage to hold on to hope, knowing that You are with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
