October may be fading into memory, but November is bursting with excitement!

As the final months of the year sprint towards the finish line, don’t get caught napping – remember to set those clocks back for Daylight Saving Time! Here in the Sunshine State, we’re still soaking up the summer vibes, but the promise of crisp fall breezes and festive fun has us practically bouncing with anticipation.
Family Takes Center Stage

November kicks off with Family Stories Month, the perfect excuse to gather ’round the kids and grandkids and spin some unforgettable yarns. What’s your most cherished family legend? Now’s the time to share it! And if you’re looking for a healthy dose of wholesome cheer, head on over to Disney – everyone’s favorite duo, Mickey and Minnie, are celebrating their birthdays in style!
Thanksgiving Takes the Spotlight
Of course, no November would be complete without the granddaddy of them all: Thanksgiving! Picture it: the iconic MACY’S parade, a table groaning with your favorite dishes, and a little friendly football rivalry on the side. It’s a time to come together, give thanks, and make some unforgettable memories.
But Wait, There’s More!
While Thanksgiving might hog a lot of the spotlight, November is packed with a whopping 267 special days of awareness and observances. Library and Information Services Month to National Peanut Butter Lovers Month, there’s something for everyone. Take a stroll through our pumpkin patch to discover the complete list and find your new favorite way to celebrate.
A Month to Give Thanks

At its heart, November is a time to reflect on the blessings in our lives. As we gather ’round the Thanksgiving Day table, let’s make sure to honor National Gratitude Month in a big way. It’s not just about uttering a quick “thanks” before you dig in – it’s about truly feeling that gratitude deep in your bones and expressing it in meaningful ways. In a world where abundance is the exception, not the rule, let’s make every day a day of thanks.
Honoring Our Heroes

And as we count our many blessings, let’s not forget the sacrifices of those who’ve served to protect our freedom. November 10 marks the Marine Corps Birthday, and Veteran’s Day on the 11th is a chance to pay tribute to all our military veterans. As we celebrate Military Family Month, let’s keep our brave service members and their families in our thoughts and prayers, acknowledging the daily sacrifices they make for us all.
So here’s to November – a month of gratitude, celebration, and maybe just a little bit of peanut butter. Let’s make it one to remember!
A Little November Trivia. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln, declared the last Thursday of November to be a National Day of Thanksgiving.
In the midst of November’s shorter days, may you be continually filled with the knowledge of God’s will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
