*Sunday’s Devotion

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it. (Amos 9:13 NKJV)

AMOS 9 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: Throughout the Bible we see evidence of God’s faithfulness in His perfect timing. Think about the Israelites wandering in the wilderness for 40 years before entering the Promised Land. It may have seemed like an eternity to them, but God had a plan and purpose in that season of wandering—their faith was fortified and they learned to trust in God’s provisions. So, beloved, while it may feel like there are surmountable mountains and hills that are impossible to move we must take heart in “knowing” that God is working behind the scenes for our best interests. He is orchestrating the perfect timing for your breakthrough. In this “knowing” rest in His promise that the mountains will drip sweet wine and the hills will melt because His abundance is wating for you on the other side.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness in our lives. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing even in seasons of extreme difficulty. Please strenghthen our faith and give us patience as we sow the seeds of righteousness with a knowing that You will bring forth an abundant harvest. Open our eyes to see the blessings in the waiting that teach us to rely on Your provision. In Jesus’name, amen.
