Must we continue to walk in the shadows of the past,
Longing for a future that seems so elusive and vast.
Walking a path shrouded in uncertainty and doubt,
As we struggle to find the courage to be more devout

If at every twist and turn or obstacle we see,
It becomes harder for us to believe,
In the word of God that’s been taught and preached,
And even harder the next level for us to reach.

Yet, in the depths of our despair, we must not lose sight,
Of the promise ahead, a beacon of hope in the night.
Only through faith and perseverance, can we truly find,
God’s strength to conquer the shadows lingering in our mind.
