Lessons From Time

In the tapestry of time, stitched with dreams,
Each thread a whisper, or so it seems,
We gather the shadows, the light, the fray,
Oh, how we long to rewrite the day.

The laughter once echoed, now fades into sighs,
Moments like fireflies, caught in the skies,
Regrets like footprints on soft, shifting sand,
If only the pen held a more tender hand.

What if we danced with the ghosts of the past?
Would joy be a question, or would sorrow be cast?
In the heart’s hidden chambers, where echoes still play,
We yearn for the canvas of yesterday’s gray.

But time is a river, ever flowing, remiss,
It teaches us lessons, wrapped snug in its kiss,
So here in the present, embracing the now,
We weave new beginnings, with heartbeats that vow.

To cherish the moments God’s given us this day,
To find beauty in awe, and in love’s vast array,
For every blessed step made along the way,
In writing His story, we flourish and stay.
