If you follow what’s good,
there’s no need to fear
any retribution
from your family or peers.

Though they may say,
and do things hurtful
you must not react
by being spiteful.

If you are a follower,
of the One True Light . . .
you’ll turn the other check
when others start a fight.

Though they may want,
to cause you some harm . . .
you are protected
in the crook of God’s arm.

If you are following,
what is good and right . . .
what other say and do
will not cause you fright!
