Through the years I’ve given all sorts of advice on writing and even publishing companies Christian and Non-Christian. But never have I written about what Christian authors advise. So here is some advice from famous Christian authors and for those of you who are taking that path to this genre here is some wise counsel…

“It is essential to study Scripture. Immerse yourself in God’s Word, and the Scriptures will flow naturally into your work.” — Francine Rivers

“Failure may come in a season but remember that it doesn’t have to be more than a “season”. Get back up and keep walking, applying all you’ve learned!” — Alex Kendrick

“Prayerfully discern for whom you are writing. Then seek to serve that audience.” — Dr. Holly Ordway

“Your subject must be so worthwhile that it keeps you riveted to your chair.” – Max Lucado

My first piece of advice for writers is to pray. Second, read books, like, a lot of them. You can always tell when a writer isn’t a reader. — Jackie Hill Perry

“Whenever you are fed up with life, start writing: ink is the great cure for all human ills, as I have found out long ago.” – C.S. Lewis

“Focus on personal stories, relatable experiences, and a strong emphasis on the transformative power of faith.” – Bruce Wilkinson

I hope in this reading that you each find something in common with these writers that will inspire you to write what will encourage all believers to seek their true purposes to find those hidden treasures that are a compass to their destines.
