Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” (Acts 9:4 NKJV)
ACTS 9 IN ITS ENTIRETY
Thought For The Week: Just like Saul many of use have had moments in our lives where we were going down the wrong path, or were totally unaware that our ways needed an overhaul. And just as Jesus spoke to Paul on that road He is speaking to us today—calling us to a much better way of life.
Sometimes those words that He speaks my be heard through a friend, a pastor and even a stranger. Other times we may feel a nudge in our spirits urging us to turn away from sin and towards Him. Whatever form His call takes we must listen and respond just like Saul.
When we hear His voice we must open our spiritual ears and not harden our hearts. Hear the voice of Jesus today and pray that you have the courage to follow whenever the Good Shepherd leads us.
Prayer: Father, please help us to open our hearts and ears to Your voice in our lives. Give us the courage to respond when You call us to a much better way of life, and help us to trust that You will guide us every step of the way. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
