With February somehow quickly in the distant past let us jovially proceed into the month of March. Keeping in mind that education is a precious gem for all of the budding minds that are growing and going. As mom always said, “Use your head for something other than a hat rack!” So let’s celebrate National March Into Literacy Month.
There are 346 celebration days this month with sixty-one just today! So you’ll have to travel to the end of the rainbow and pick a coin to see the ones you want to celebrate. We’ll just list a few. This entire month is National Reading Month, National Athletic Training Month, Humorists are Artists Month, International Ideas Month, Irish-American Heritage Month, National Music in Our Schools Month, International Women of Color Day, and National Clean up Your IRS Act Month. For the complete list, pull a book from our Reading Month display.
For all those hardworking women through the years let’s all join in celebrating National Women’s History Month. And to nourish your literary curiosities, the first full week of March is “Read an E-Book Week” and then “Tolkien Reading Day” on March 25th. You better grab an e-book from somewhere for a little leisure time.

For us dedicated writers, we have National Ghostwriters Week and Small Press Month starting today, World Storytelling Day on March 20th and National Write Your Story Day on March 14th. For the hard-worker your work is appreciated today on National Employee Appreciation Day. I’m sure you original gamers will be looking forward to Mario Day on March 10th—As soon as I have a little off time that day I will be grabbing my Ninetendo Switch playing Super Mario Bros.U Deluxe—Mario sure has come a long way!

Right now more than ever we need a World Day of Prayer, which would be inclusive of a National Day of Unplugging, National Good Samaritan Day, and National Hug a G.I. Day. The month of March also marks the Continental Congress’s ratification of the Articles of Confederation and the founding of the United States Peace Corps. Let us remember American Citizenship Day which helps us to always hold our freedom and democracy in a place of high honor and not in a place of prideful entitlement.
March Trivia: Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone call on March 10, 1876.
With hearts full of thanksgiving, let us embrace March as an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the Almighty and to witness His mighty hand at work in our lives. Let us unite in prayer and declarations, studying and meditating on the promises of His Word and stepping into the fullness of His plans for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Happy New Month! Blessings and Peace!

As you’re probably aware, I am a huge reader. So any month (week, day, hour) that celebrates reading is a win in my book. 😉📚
