In the world of poetry, creativity knows no bounds. Each poet has their own unique way of capturing emotions, thoughts, and experiences through the art of words. Writing poetry is truly in the eye of the beholder, as it is a personal and intimate process that varies from person to person.

For me, writing poetry is a spiritual experience. Sometimes, inspiration strikes out of nowhere, and I feel like I am simply grabbing the words right out of thin air. Other times, my poetry takes on a more primitive nature, tapping into raw emotions and instincts. And then there are those moments when the words flow effortlessly, rhyming and dancing on the page.
One thing I have come to realize is that poetry is a gift. I often find myself thanking God for the verses that come to me in moments of inspiration. Just like the poem I wrote last night, as I was thinking of angels and suddenly the words poured out of me effortlessly, however primitive.

As a poet, I have had the privilege of reading all types of poems from different writers online. Some poets choose to express our Christian faith through their words, weaving in themes of spirituality and devotion. Each poem is a reflection of the author’s unique perspective and personal connection to their beliefs. Others write about their life’s experiences. Everything from love to loss.
But one commonality I find among poets as W.H. Auden says; they are passionately in love with language. They must be in order to write from the depth of their souls.
In the end, writing poetry is a deeply personal and soulful experience. It is a way to express our innermost thoughts and feelings, to connect with others on a deeper level, and to leave a lasting impact through the power of words. So whether you are a seasoned poet or just starting out on your creative journey, remember that poetry is a beautiful art form that is meant to be shared and cherished by all.

Poetry is one of those things I must be in the mood for; otherwise, it goes in one ear and out the other.
