A Women’s History Month Prayer

As we celebrate Women’s History Month I found a prayer that is so poignant for this celebration. And let us be reminded of our Biblical counterparts who, through faith, overcame many obstacles similar to those we face today.

Heavenly Father, In celebration of Women’s History Month I come before You seeking the faith, strength, and grace of these woman who walked before me. Please give me faith like Sarah, to trust in Your promises even when they seem distant. To believe that You are working in my life, and to wait patiently for Your perfect timing. Help me to know that I am seen, like Hagar, even in my wilderness, in my loneliness, and in the moments I feel forgotten. Please remind me that You Are El Roi, the God who sees me, hears my cries, and provides for my every need. Let me be chosen like Leah, even when I feel overlooked or unloved. Teach me to find my worth in You, knowing that I am deeply cherished, valued, and created for a divine purpose. And Father, give me grace like Bathsheba, to rise from my pass, walk in my redemption, and to step in the newness You provide. Let my story be a testimony of your unfailing mercy and love. In Jesus’ precious name, amen.
