*Sunday’s Devotion

Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him
For the help of His countenance.
(Psalm 42:5 NKJV

PSALM 42 IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Thought For The Week: David was going through a very difficult time but he did not let his circumstances consume him. Instead he turned to God with hope. When we hope in God that means we genuinely trust Him to work things out for our good. In this hope we believe that God has a plan for our lives. Although things may not make sense in that moment during our trials we know that all things will work together for our good.

When we place our hope in God in Him we can find peace even amid our anxieties. And can find joy in His strength even when things don’t go our way. We can trust that God is with us and will never leave or forsake us. Today if you are feeling overwhelmed I encourage you to put your hope in God because He is a promise keeper.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for your faithfulness and love. Please help me to remember to put my hope in you regardless the circumstance. Give me the strength to trust You and to believe that You have a good plan for my life. I pray that You would give me the peace and joy as I put my hope in You. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
